Arts Festival

This year's Arts Fortnight was based around the themes of Dreams, Ideas, Inventions and Imagination, so the past few weeks have seen children from all years engaged in various surreal and creative activities across the school.  With Arty Party, everyone had a go at getting their hands dirty and made sculptures inspired by artists such as Salvador Dalí.  Across the school, each class was given a cardboard box, and, inspired by the picture book Not a Box by Antoinette Portis, reinvented it as anything which captured their imaginations - a rocket, pirate ship, owl, treasure chest, washing machine, fish tank...  Each class was also tasked with inventing their own dream catcher.  The results of the past few weeks' artistic endeavours are displayed in the floor hall, which will soon be open for parents and carers to view.
