Geffrye Museum

Year 5 and 6 have visited the Geffrye Museum of the Home in Hoxton this week, where they have had the chance to find out about how houses and living have changed in the years since World War II.  The children were shown various rooms from different decades, and compared then with how we live now; there was also a hands-on workshop where we looked at items, and particularly technology, which is now defunct - us adults will remember records, cassettes, VHS and corded landline phones, but to most of the children these items were alien!
